This is a three day event with a kickoff party on January 6th, a concert event on January 7th, a Poker Run on January 8th and then finishing up with the Downtown Festival and Bike Show on January 8th. This year's festival and show will be held in downtown Sarasota on Main Street, with lots of vendors, food, live entertainment by The Bobby Friss Band and special guests “Magic Tree Conspiracy” Bike Show featuring American and Import Classes. Congratulations to the Ringling Museum!

The first phase of a $76-million, seven-year expansion program will be completed in January 2006 with the opening of the Ringling Circus Museum's new Tibbals Learning Center and the Visitors Pavilion. The centerpiece exhibit of the Tibbals Learning Center is the 3,800 square foot Howard Brothers Circus - the largest miniature circus in the world! With its 55-car train, eight main tents, 152 circus wagons, 1,500 performers and staff and more than 70 circus animals, this “must see exhibit” represents a half-century labor of love by master model builder and philanthropist Howard C. Tibbals.

From the bayfront to Lemon Avenue, and from First Street to Ringling Boulevard in downtown Sarasota, the entire town will come alive with performances and exhibits from some 1,100 artists, dancers, musicians, opera singers, comedians, actors, and poets performing simultaneously on 12 stages. Over 50 arts and cultural organizations are represented during this event.

The Sarasota Manatee Originals will have a tent set up with about 20 Originals Restaurants including Mattison's Steakhouse at the Plaza, Mattison's City Grille and Mattison's Siesta Grille. This is an opportunity to sample food from all three of Mattison's Restaurants as well as from some of Sarasota and Manatee finest independant restaurants for only $15

The Manatee Chamber of Commerce's 43rd Annual Meeting & Membership Appreciation Dinner will be catered by Mattison's Catering Company. Admission to this event is by invitation. Mattison’s Steakhouse at the Plaza will be hosting two five course dinners and wine tastings featuring the wines from the Morgan Winery. A different wine will accompany each course prepared especially for this elegant and informative dinner. Tom Tomlinson from the Morgan Winery, will be attending the evening to talk about each of the wines and answer questions.
