From Chef Paul Mattison Mattison's Culinary Connection Events
February 2007

Dear Jennifer,

February is filled with such a variety of exciting events; a nice reminder why we all love living in Sarasota.

Be sure to join me at Mattison's Steakhouse at the Plaza for the Sister Cities Dinner. This is a particularly significant evening for me. After so many culinary adventure trips to Italy, it is an honor for Mattison's to host two outstanding chefs from Italy, along with many others who have decided to bridge the continents and bring two cultures a little closer. I am in the midst of planning my next culinary adventure tour to Italy, and Treviso, our new Sister City, will certainly be one of our stops.

Remember, Mattison's is committed to being successful, one client at a time. Feel free to e-mail me personally at chefpaul@mattisons.com with questions or comments any time.

Enjoy!
Chef Paul Mattison

Mattison's Steakhouse at the Plaza
Wins Golden Spoon Award

Florida Trend's coveted Golden Spoon was awarded to Chef Paul Mattison’s Mattison's Steakhouse at the Plaza by Robert W. Tolf, Restaurant Editor of Florida Trend magazine, during a beautiful dinner on Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Riverhouse Restaurant in Ft Lauderdale.

Chef Paul and Michelle Mattison were pleased to join fellow honorees, Ray and D’Arcy Arpke of Euphemia Haye and Sean and Susan Murphy of Beach Bistro along with a handful of other top restaurateurs selected from around the state. "It is a great honor to have been chosen for this distinguished award by Robert W. Tolf for a second time,” says Chef Paul Mattison. “We are very proud to be in such good company.”

This is Chef Paul Mattison’s second time being presented with the Golden Spoon Award, he first earned this honor for the Summerhouse Restaurant on Siesta Key.
