Be prepared for a fun and educational wine 101 for women. This week we will discover eclectic whites including a Pinot Blanc, Rosé, and Gewürztraminer. We will have Mattison's sommelier to speak about a different style of wine, a wine tasting, allow plenty of time for a Q & A. Following each evening we will have an informal discussion about the tastings and a vote will be taken to choose the best wine for that evening.

These sessions will discover Pinot Noir wines. We will have Mattison's sommelier speak about Pinot Noir, and of course have a guided wine tasting. There will be plenty of time for a Q & A. Following each evening we will have an informal discussion about the tastings and a vote will be taken to choose the best wine for that evening.

On July 11 at 7:30pm, husbands, boyfriends, partners, and friends are invited to join a special wine paired dinner tasting, where we will serve all of the favorite selections from the previous weeks with an exquisite dinner. The price for this special evening $85 plus tax and tip and is also open to the public.

Mattison’s Steakhouse at the Plaza is preparing for a special Easter Sunday on April 8. Opening from 1-7pm, Mattison’s Steakhouse at the Plaza offers a family Easter menu featuring Leg of Lamb slowly roasted and hand carved to order, served with roasted Tuscan rosemary potato and sauteed fresh vegetables. We are introducing several new menu items as well. Enjoy live music from Eddie Tobin in the Fireplace Lounge. Mattison’s Siesta Grille is open from 1-7pm on Easter Sunday, April 8, and features an Easter Special Rack of Lamb Dinner along with offering the regular dinner menu. Mattison’s Siesta Grille also has a variety of delicious choices for children. Reservations are requested and can be made by calling 941.349.2800 or by going online below.

Mattison’s Riverside will featuring Choice Prime Rib carved to order with a port jus sauce and horseradish sauce. We are also featuring an Herb Crusted Leg of Lamb, slowly roasted, with mint demi-glace, Both items are served with truffle mashed potatoes, and grilled vegetables. A limited regular menu is also available. Make reservations for the whole family and remember Mattison’s Riverside always has a special delicious and healthy children’s menu. The menu offers some fresh takes on Italian food. An order of ostrica infornata, ... sumptuous! The flavors march together in culinary lockstep....
The Plaza serves a great steak, and the choices are numerous, ranging from a 6oz filet to a 22-ounce T- bone. Within that array of cuts, more choices emerge as menu items–a 16-ounce rib eye with Gorgonzola cheese and apple-smoked bacon is a bistecca blu. It’s also heavenly.

You may be way too satiated for any dolce, but that would be your loss. Topping the list is the honey Parmesan flan... The competing tastes are absolutely delightful, and our flan quickly disappeared. The cannoli are delectable, too. .. The cheesecake...has an intriguingly different character from the typical offering. I loved it.
