From Chef Paul Mattison Mattison's Culinary Connection
April 2006

Dear Jennifer,

The season is certainly not over yet. There are so many events and festivities in the month of April, of which we are excited to be part. From Film Fest to Winefest and so many in between, there are plenty of activities for everyone. Remember, regardless of which event or events you plan to attend, they are all great causes helping to better our community.

In the meantime, I hope to see you at one of our restaurants or at one of these great events in which we are involved. See below for details.

Remember, Mattison's is committed to being successful, one client at a time. Feel free to e-mail me personally at chefpaul@mattisons.com with questions or comments any time.

Enjoy!
Chef Paul Mattison

Corey Carr Mattison: May 10, 1987-March 14, 2006

On a personal note: Please let me share with all of you a recent tragedy in my family's life. On March 14, 2006 my nephew, Corey Carr Mattison left us suddenly and peacefully at home due to natural causes. None of us will ever understand why, and our lives will never be the same without him.

Corey touched my life through his love of nature, music and family. He was generous, kind, adventurous and strong, and he and I shared, among many things, the love of good food.

He was attending Binghamton University, and was headed to the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University in the Fall.

Corey had strong values, a keen sense of justice, and a great sympathy for the working man. He wanted the world to be a better place, and was driven to make that happen.

He accomplished so much, so fast and what he left each of us will forever be kept in our hearts. I will always remember everything I loved about Corey, all that we shared, and I will celebrate him often.
As his father and my brother, Darryl said cherish your children.

We want to honor Corey forever, by offering an annual college scholarship, to students with similar goals, integrity, and the values in which Corey believed.

If you wish to offer a small donation, we have established a 501-C-3 in the name of:
Corey Carr Mattison Memorial Scholarship Fund
2 Grasshopper Lane
Utica, NY 13501

Thank you!
