Thank you for our wonderful Anniversary celebration dinner last evening. We were both very pleased with the attentive service and thoughtful
suggestions offered by our server, Jerry. The meals we selected were beautifully presented and the taste was superb. Your restaurant has been a favorite of ours for many years. The food and service are consistently good and the ambiance is conducive to conversation. All of your staff, including the hostess who took our reservation and accommodated our table request (her name escapes us) and manager, Gabriel who greeted us table side to express good wishes, helped make our anniversary special. Our “Anniversary Menu” signed by Chef Paul was an unexpected surprise
to treasure along with our memories of a most enjoyable Anniversary evening.

Mattison’s Forty-One

On Sunday June 5, 2011 my wife and I went to your restaurant for my birthday. We were attracted by the Savor Sarasota promotion. We were extremely impressed with the large selection. We were greated cordially by the hostess and she wished me a happy birthday. Our server was excellent. He knew the menu very well and offered us great advice. We enjoyed calamari and artichokes for our appetizers. My wife had the pot roast and she loved it. I had the scallops and truly enjoyed them. The ambiance was great and the pianist even played our song for us. What a great experience and at a very reasonable price. Thank you for a wonderful evening and a great meal.

Dear Paul,
Our party was such a success due to the fabulous food and excellent service we received. Michael was superb, as was our carver, Chef Ken. They were so friendly, courteous and charming. We received so many compliments from our guests about our choice of caterers. Everyone was delighted with our menu selections and amazed at the quality of the food. The buffet table was set up exquisitely, and it’s impossible to provide all the comments about the yummy desserts. I wish we had thought to take a photo before everything was devoured. We are so appreciative of Aimee’s assistance with all the arrangements. You can be sure we will refer Mattison’s to everyone we know. This was the best party we’ve ever had in our 50 years together!

Mattison’s City Grille
We have two daughters in college and a son in high school, and coming to an agreement as to where we will dine out as a family is not a simple process.  The one place we can get everyone to agree to is Mattison’s City Grille. The “kids” love the appetizers, burgers, and pizza, while we enjoy Chef Paul Mattison’s dinner creations. The outdoor atmosphere is lively with great live music and patrons having a good time, and being in the heart of downtown Sarasota, the people watching opportunities abound!  The girls bring friends home from school for a weekend, and like to bring them to Mattison’s when they are hitting the places that represent the lifestyle of Sarasota. We know that an evening there will be perfect.

Mattison’s Forty One is the best! What an incredible wedding reception we had at Mattison’s! The food was delicious, very professional, very warm and overly accommodating!The menu suggestions were great but they were flexible to do whatever we wanted. Also, they helped with a favors table and even helped with the center pieces (really above and beyond!).
We ended up having them do the Wedding Cake – really perfect; just as my wife described the cake – it was so delicious…

Paul, I can’t say enough nice things about your entire presentation. The food was so delicious and your recommended choices were a big hit!  The artistic arrangement of the ginger and carved fish surrounded with fruits and cheese, all so beautifully  draped and layered, looked every bit as picturesque as many of the still life’s on the gallery walls. Guest comments:  ‘Who in the world is your caterer???’ – My reply – ‘Well, none other than the  “Paul “- you know… MATTISON’S!!!’  Congratulations on acquiring such a wonderful staff.  The chef was so helpful and I don’t know how he remained so cool while working in such a “hot” environment.  Not a spill at that!!!  Until our next event, continued success on all of your endeavors.  Thanks again.
