Chef Paul Mattison Participates in Chefs Move to Schools Kids N’ Chef’s Dinner Gala

Chef Paul Mattison, executive chef and proprietor of Mattison’s™ (7275 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231 tel 941.921.3400) is honored to participate in the Chefs Move to Schools Kids N’ Chef’s Dinner Gala, Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 5:30-7pm at Phillippi Shores School Cafeteria, 4747 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Florida 34231. This fundraising gala dinner pairs four local chefs with groups of children from four different Sarasota County schools. Each group spends time with their chef learning the ins and outs of the kitchen, culminating in the group’s preparation of menu items to be served at the gala dinner. Recipes served at the gala are later featured on school lunch menus. Live music is provided by Booker Middle School’s Jazz Ensemble. Chef Paul Mattison, executive chef and proprietor of Mattison’s™, and Pedro Reis, CEO of Circus Sarasota announce an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime street party – “Above the Falls & Beyond Belief”… Celebrating the Wallenda Walk over Niagara Falls with Mattison’s™ and Circus Sarasota – on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 6pm to midnight. The first annual Mattison’s™ Day Celebration on December 5, 2011 opens with a Cocktail Party and Proclamation Ceremony at Mattison’s City Grille, from 5pm with a declaration by Sarasota County Commissioner Nora Pattterson declaring December 5 Mattison’s™ Day. The Celebration continues through December 12, 2011 with a variety of events including a Wine-Pairing Dinner at Mattison’s Forty-One on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 6:30pm; a Street Party Culinary Showcase on Sunday, December 11 from noon to 5pm at Mattison’s City Grille including Lemon Avenue between Main and First Street; a Culinary Golf Tournament on December 12 at The Oaks benefitting The Oaks Women’s Club Charities and a Mattison’s™ scholarship to the Culinary Institute of America; and 10-Themed/10 Dollar Specials offered at all Mattison’s™ Restaurant locations.

Chef Paul Mattison Awarded The Official In-Theatre Caterer at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall

Chef Paul Mattison, executive chef and proprietor of Mattison’s Restaurant and Catering, announces the launch of Mattison’s Bayside At The Van Wezel, the new, official in-theatre caterer and restaurateur at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.

Mattison’s™ was awarded the contract after a competitive bidding process that took place in July 2011. Chef Paul Mattison oversees the new pre and post-show dining and beverage service along with offering full-service catering at the Van Wezel for indoor and outdoor waterfront weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, business luncheons, special events, galas and more. From party platters to black tie events, Mattison’s is prepared to cater.
