Mattison’s™ 10 Year Anniversary Celebration and Proclamation on December 5, 2011 – Mattison’s™ Day

Chef Paul Mattison, executive chef and proprietor of Mattison’s™, is proud to announce Sarasota County’s proclamation of December 5, 2011 as Mattison’s™ Day celebrating Mattison’s™ ten year anniversary in Sarasota County.

The first annual Mattison’s™ Day Celebration on December 5, 2011 opens with a Cocktail Party and Proclamation Ceremony at Mattison’s City Grille, from 5pm with a declaration by Sarasota County Commissioner Nora Pattterson declaring December 5 Mattison’s™ Day. The Celebration continues through December 12, 2011 with a variety of events including a Wine-Pairing Dinner at Mattison’s Forty-One on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 6:30pm; a Street Party Culinary Showcase on Sunday, December 11 from noon to 5pm at Mattison’s City Grille including Lemon Avenue between Main and First Street; a Culinary Golf Tournament on December 12 at The Oaks benefitting The Oaks Women’s Club Charities and a Mattison’s™ scholarship to the Culinary Institute of America; and 10-Themed/10 Dollar Specials offered at all Mattison’s™ Restaurant locations.

Mattison’s™ Celebration Week confirms Mattison’s™ commitment to Sarasota and honors Mattison’s™ chefs, culinary suppliers, restaurant staff, and diners; Sarasota’s farmers, associate businesses, arts organizations, and nonprofit organizations that make our community a better place to live. Mattison’s™ Celebration Week is an opportunity for Sarasota residents and visitors to explore and celebrate Mattison’s™ by being a part of the many celebratory and fundraising opportunities throughout the week enjoying exceptional food and drink specials, experiencing a culinary adventure through a wine-pairing dinner, participating in a golf tournament, celebrating in a street party with culinary demonstrations and live music. Mattison’s™ Halloween Events and Specials

Dance the night away to live music by TC Allen Band from 8pm to midnight and enjoy ghoulish drink, appetizer and dinner specials along with festive decorations and much more. Villa San-Juliette, located in Paso Robles, California produces award-winning wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc. The 168 acre vineyard is co-owned by Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick. Originally from the UK, both men are best known as TV producers and for their involvement in "American Idol" and then for starring in their own reality show "Corkscrewed: The Wrath of Grapes".

Chef Paul Mattison Awarded The Official In-Theatre Caterer at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall

Chef Paul Mattison, executive chef and proprietor of Mattison’s Restaurant and Catering, announces the launch of Mattison’s Bayside At The Van Wezel, the new, official in-theatre caterer and restaurateur at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.

Mattison’s™ was awarded the contract after a competitive bidding process that took place in July 2011. Chef Paul Mattison oversees the new pre and post-show dining and beverage service along with offering full-service catering at the Van Wezel for indoor and outdoor waterfront weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, business luncheons, special events, galas and more. From party platters to black tie events, Mattison’s is prepared to cater.

"This is very exciting for Mattison’s™ and I thank the Van Wezel and the City of Sarasota for this opportunity" says Chef Paul Mattison. "I have been proudly supporting the arts organizations in Sarasota over the last twenty years and have an excellent working relationship with the City of Sarasota", he says "so this is the perfect blend of what Mattison’s™ does best – waterfront, outdoor, and indoor dining; full-scale catering; and supporting our community". " I plan on offering a variety of creative menu items using fresh ingredients," says Chef Paul Mattison.
