Award winning Chef Paul Mattison has created one of Florida's best steakhouses, Mattison's Steakhouse at the Plaza on Longboat Key. This New Classic Steakhouse is a favorite with locals and visitors alike. Enjoy traditional steakhouse entrées and signature seafood selections in our warm and charming dining room. Entrées are served complete, with the main dish accompanied by vegetables, a side dish, homemade sauces and garnish. This is not "just a steak on a plate", this is the traditional steakhouse in an elegant yet Florida-casual atmosphere. Boasting more than 1,000 bottles of fine wine stowed in a unique wine cellar just beneath the foyer floor, Mattison's Steakhouse at the Plaza hosts a happy hour ($1 off all cocktails and glass of wine) from 5 - 7pm at the bar and piano bar in our Fireplace Lounge with live music nightly (Tue-Sun) from 7pm until closing. Mattison's Steakhouse at the Plaza caters private parties in our dining room and wine cellar. Mattison's Catering Company has extensive off site catering experience.

Scotch, Cigars, and Steaks on the Grill

Mattison's Steakhouse at the Plaza, 525 Bay Isles Parkway, Longboat Key, FL 34228 tel 941.387.2700, presents Scotch, Cigars, and Steaks on the Grill. This wonderful evening on May 22 at 6pm features Randy Adams, the foremost Scotch expert, otherwise know as the Scotch Guy, from Macallan who serves several different kinds of Scotch throughout the evening and is on hand to illustrate the subtle and not so subtle differences between each of the Scotch brands. Jack Bennington, a local cigar aficionado, features Rocky Patel Cigars from Indian Tabac, one of the world's leading cigar makers. Chef Paul Mattison is preparing a special menu to fit the evening, with a focus on grilling tips and techniques.

The evening will include a multi-course dinner, featuring Steaks on the Grill, served outside on the breezy European Terrace for $95 per person plus tax and tip.
