The popular Florida Winefest & Auction is an annual four-day event and will be held from March 17th to  March 20, 2016 in Sarasota, Florida.

During a Tuesday, November 10th preview media event, both chefs will bring “Tuscany to the table” and offer a truffle tasting to preview the upcoming 4th Annual Wild Truffle Wine Dinner, an exclusive five-course dinner for less then 100 guests with Chef Covelli and Chef Mattison set for Friday, November 20 at Mattison’s Forty-One at 6 p.m.

Wines are paired and presented by Banfi Vintners and a Martini Bar sponsored by Stoli Vodka. Tickets are $250 per person.

The chefs will also discuss the hunting of wild truffles, truffle dogs and the stories surrounding the wildly expensive mushroom-like delight adored by gourmets. Covelli, a culinary instructor in Italy and Sarasota resident, began hunting for the Tuscan truffles in early October. Local artist Brenda Coudal will unveil the 2015-16 Winefest graphic image.
